Seminary Graduate New Bishop of Erie

[Webmaster’s Note: Since 2005, Rev. Msgr. Lawrence T. Persico has been the vicar general of the Diocese of Greensburg. In that role, he has been the bishop’s delegate for clergy sexual abuse. When allegations of sexual misconduct by Archabbot Douglas Nowicki were made, Persico received documents regarding those claims, including this May 21, 2012 letter [ View ]. To date, however, a through investigation into claims of sexual misconduct by Archabbot Nowicki has not been conducted. As such, Archabbot Nowicki has remained in a position of authority. It should come as no surprise that Nowicki considers Persico a “wise” man.]
